Baldwin and I exchanged quite a few cordial and funny emails between my visit to Boston (Review #20) and his visit to my home town. I sent him my list of "druthers" a couple of times so that he would know exactly what I like - mostly kissing, cuddling, and conversation, basically a BFE. There appeared to be no problem with my requests. As a side note, I'll mention that at one point during the exchange, Baldwin surprised me with what I judged to be an unethical proposal, one which I rejected.

On Nov 3, I received a copy of Baldwin's flight reservation to confirm our agreement to meet for a half day on Thursday Nov 29 and a full day on Friday Nov 30 in my home town. Around Nov 14, however, he unilaterally changed this arrangement to a full day on Thursday and a half day on Friday.

In spite of the long drive he would have to make, Baldwin committed to getting here by 8:00 AM and being "combat ready." Even so, he arrived at 9:00.

Baldwin has more muscle than a body has a right to. A beautiful body, with lovely smooth skin, except for a patch on his upper back. I should add that all the pictures I have seen of Baldwin show him with a shaved chest and belly. He arrived, however, with a hairy chest and belly.

During the pauses in our play time, I noticed Baldwin using his cell phone quite a bit. Not 100% of the time, but noticeably. He did not make voice calls, and I don't remember if he texted or not. On Dec 26, in an attempt to reach an amicable closure, I wrote to Baldwin to present my perception of what had happened and to ask for some insight into his view of what had happened. As of today, March 4, however, I have had no response.

I'm not sure of the best way to evaluate the meeting overall. The first three issues (schedule change, late arrival, and body hair) were not deal-breakers for me, and I have written about them here only to alert guys for whom they might be important. In other respects, except for the thing about the cell phone, Baldwin is a fun, energetic, engaging, and sexy man to spend quality time with. In other words, someone I would like to see over and over, the same man almost everyone else has seen. Even so, his cell phone usage meant, to me, that he was not "there" with me.

What irritated me was that Baldwin did not excuse himself to use the phone, did not ask for my leave to use it, and continued to use it even during lunch. This took me aback because I had told him specifically that conversation was important to me and because our interaction was in such surprising contrast to the lively conversation we'd had at lunch in Boston. Maybe I pushed him to that "bad boiling point" he refers to in his thank you note for the Escort of the Year award. In any case, I was very disappointed not to meet the "Boston Tristan" again, that special Tristan known and admired by so many clients. But ultimately, I'm sad to say that of all my escort experiences in almost ten years of hiring, I will remember this experience with Tristan Baldwin as the worst.

I, along with the entire forum, definitely appreciate the thoroughness of the reviews written by this member. Likewise, I will attempt to be as thorough as possible and respond to each point, in turn.

Travel arrangements and cost: to put things in perspective I think we should begin with this. This client and I were supposed to meet in October, but an ice storm in Connecticut canceled the flights into the clients home area. These were flights that I paid for out of pocket and was due to be reimbursed by the client.

Because the schedule had no additional openings for me to switch into seeing him in October November or December, the only option was for me to scratch a part of my Chicago trip to accommodate him. It should be noted that I was willing to do this and told him that he did not have to pay for any flights what so ever since I was already in Chicago to see other clients before him. As far as unilaterally changing the arrangement, the total price paid was 500 dollars for an all day activity. That's it. Mind you, I drove 4 hours at 330am to see the client, played for 8 hours, and then drove 4 hours back to Chicago. 500 minus 50 for gas, you're left with 450 for 16 hours of time committed, so don't you dare say I'm not being generous. I priced so low because I legitimately felt based on the emails we would have fun and a good connection. Instead it was a total environment of control. From having to demonstrate what I was going to wear ahead of time, followed by disappointment that I had the tiniest bit of scruff on my chest when there were no specific instructions to shave it, I might as well be a slave being prepared for auction. Shall I open my mouth to show my teeth as well?

The reason for the cell phone use towards the end of the appointment,(which is the primary of frustration of the client here), is that when I priced out so low on this job figuring it was two like minded guys hanging out and having fun, I anticipated some flexibility in the ability for 'me' time. 450/16 is $28 an hour, by the way. By all means, please find another escort willing to wake up at 330am to do what I did to help you maximize yourday.

I will say this on the clients behalf. He is a very intelligent, fun man. Hygiene was impeccable. Also it was not straight play or work throughout the day, he did make sure that he was giving me culture as well by taking me to see some of the sites of the city. I think our difficulties stem from my assuming that I had the ability to use the phone given the low price. Poor communications on my part. You never assume.
